Climate Surveys

What is a Climate Survey?

A climate survey is a company-wide review of staff satisfaction to identify:

  • Areas of organisational strength…what the organisation is getting right;
  • Organisational issues for improvement…what needs to change/ be communicated;
  • Where issues persist…the departments and staff levels you need to focus on.

When re-run at intervals the Survey can be used to track the impact of new initiatives/ process changes on staff opinion;

The Process

The AIM Climate Survey questionnaire comprises 3 sections:

Demographics

    • We work with your organisation to define relevant sub-groups (office locations/ staff levels/ functions/ departments) within your organisation and will report data by these sub-groups to provide you with an indication as to where issues persist – which location/ department/staff level?

A battery of statements

    • We work with your organisation to establish a relevant battery of statements for employees to rate satisfaction against.  This survey approach is quick for respondents to complete and can be applied consistently across the organisation so that direct comparisons can be made in satisfaction levels between:
        • different sub-groups in the sample;
        • the organisation from year to year (when the survey is rerun).

Verbatim comments

    • We work with your organisation to determine ‘write in’ questions’ that capture key sentiments/ attitudes within your organisation and can be used to ‘flesh-out’ the reasons for ratings given;

Why choose the AIM Climate Survey?

Reporting is:

  • Comprehensive …average score for each statement, analysis of verbatim comments;
  • Focused …statements grouped into broad issues to focus action;
  • Informative …comparisons between sub-groups, top & bottom rated statements;
  • Comparable …year-on-year comparisons.
