Role Evaluation

Unique Employees need unique solutions

Create bespoke remuneration data for your staff with the Role Evaluation Benchmarking System.

Salary surveys typically provide market rates for remuneration paid to key positions within the marketplace. The more sophisticated of these surveys, such as the National Salary Survey, do this via a position description matching methodology, whereby organisations establish pay rates for positions by matching generic position descriptions provided in the survey to their own situation.

Whilst effective for the majority of cases, some of the position descriptions provided by salary surveys may be too general for a particular organisation’s individual situation.

To address this issue, a points-based role evaluation methodology has been developed, which allows users to create tailored roles that reflect their organisation's unique situation and, hence pay data for those roles. Roles are created by evaluating key role attributes, such as seniority and technical skill against a number of criteria (Evaluation Factors), producing a Total Points Score, which is then converted into salary information for that particular role.
